Disability I have run workshops for RISE (formerly DYAC Disabled Young Adults Centre, Exeter), New Horizons, Dawlish and Teignmouth Community Colleges. I have attended the Disability Equality Training day run by EQUATA. Feedback from students at RISE (Respect Independence Self Esteem): “It has given me more confidence in asking questions.” “I was concentrating a little more than normal.” “I liked these activities very much, other people’s conversation and getting together.” “I’ve learnt how to talk better.” “It was great because we learned things.” Diana Cole (Adult Services Co-ordinator, RISE): “I felt that many of the students demonstrated skills which perhaps they do not normally reveal! I also found that the challenges...were met with enthusiasm and gave positive results…The drama basis is an excellent tool in helping people with disabilities to express themselves in a safe environment.” I can provide a series of Drama for Confidence and Conversation Skills workshops tailor-made to the needs of the group.
